Prof Prudence Khumalo is a professor in the Department of Public Administration and
Management at the University of South Africa. His main research interests are local
economic development and sustainable human settlements. He has also published on
development, poverty, human settlements and governance. He has presented papers at
both local and international conferences. He is part of the African Union-UNISA Agenda
2063 research group, and his sub-project focuses on human settlements development
prospects in the continent. Prof Khumalo serves as a Programme Co-ordinator for the
Human Settlements programme in his department and has contributed immensely to
the study of Human Settlements.
