Mokoko Sebola is a professor of Public Administration and a Director of the School of Economics and Management at the University of Limpopo. He holds a Masters degree in Development Studies from the University of Limpopo and a Doctoral degree in Public Management from the Tshwane University of Technology. His research interest includes local government, public policy, education and governance, migration, emigration and immigration, ethics, ecotourism and local economic development. Professor Sebola has published widely in national and international journals, accredited conference proceedings and book chapters, presented papers at national and international conferences, and has successfully supervised a substantial number of masters and doctoral degrees. He is also a previous holder of the following awards: Overall Best Established Researcher, University of Limpopo (2011), Distinguished Academic Award, SAAPAM (2014) and Overall Best Established Researcher, University of Limpopo (2015). He is a progressive academic leader who founded and chaired a regionally growing academic conference called the International Conference on Public Administration and Development Alternatives (IPADA) and is an Editor of the Journal of Public Administration and Development Alternatives.
